Teddy Bear Clinic

For Children ages 5-8

Join us in our Bloom U classroom in Southfield, Michigan as we partner with Michigan State University College of Medicine students for a free, hands-on Teddy Bear Clinic!

Created for kids ages 5–8, this playful learning experience helps young children understand what happens during a doctor’s visit—reducing anxiety and building confidence about healthcare in a fun, nurturing setting.

Kids bring their favorite teddy bear or “stuffy friend” to rotate through interactive stations exploring heart & lung health, bone health, nutrition, vaccines, germs, and the five senses.

Guided by future doctors, children learn healthy habits, ask questions, and gain a sense of comfort and curiosity about their own well-being.

While the event is free to attend, we invite families to make an optional donation to COTS, a Detroit-based homeless shelter supporting families in need.

Potty Training 101

Adults Only

With so many opinions about potty training methods and timing, it’s easy to feel unsure about when or how to begin. The truth is, there’s no one “right” potty training age!

Join The Mama Coach Fervy Jiminez, RN and mom of two, for an interactive virtual potty training class that helps parents understand the process from start to finish. In this supportive, educational workshop, you’ll learn:

  • How your child’s urinary and bowel systems develop

  • Signs of readiness and when to start potty training

  • The difference between parent-led vs. child-led approaches

  • How to create a positive mindset and realistic expectations for success

You’ll leave feeling informed, confident, and ready to support your child’s next big milestone. The class wraps up with a live Q&A session, where you can get your specific potty training questions answered by a registered nurse and parenting expert.
