Navigate puberty with confidence alongside your child in our in-person Bloom U workshops, held at the Bloom U classroom in Southfield, Michigan.
Led by Bloom Pediatrics pediatricians in partnership with Turning Teen, these classes offer trusted, age-appropriate education about the physical and emotional changes that come with puberty.
Together, parents and kids will learn about body changes, emotional development, and healthy habits in a supportive and open environment. You’ll leave feeling informed, connected, and equipped to guide your child through this important stage of growing up.

Body Basics for Boys
For boys ages 8+ and a trusted adult
School covers some basics, but many boys still have questions they may not feel comfortable asking elsewhere. Turning Teen creates a safe, supportive, and engaging space where boys can learn, talk, and feel confident about the changes ahead.
Held in person at the Bloom U classroom in Southfield, Michigan, this workshop helps boys understand:
How their bodies work and the names for each part
How boys’ and girls’ bodies grow and change differently
The importance of respect for their own bodies and others’
The emotions that come with puberty and how to manage them in healthy ways
This interactive class encourages open conversation, accurate information, and connection between boys and their trusted adults—helping families navigate puberty with confidence and ease.
Girls Body Care
For girls ages 10+ with a trusted adult
Puberty is a big adventure, and it can feel confusing when your body starts to change. The good news—you don’t have to figure it out alone!

Understanding periods and period care with a hands-on demo using pads and tampons
